Workshops

LEARNERS

A specific focus is put on problem solving and preparation for examination- or test times.  Old examination papers are worked through and guidance is given in terms of approach to and answering of higher level questions.


TEACHERS

 Teacher training workshops are CAPS aligned and informative.

- It will assist teachers with the correct focus in presenting lessons, and properly teaching applied Mathematical content in Science, especially in grade 11 and 12.

- Workshops point out the progression principle in the CAPS syllabus in order to make understanding of content easier.

- Workshops can be in English and/or Afrikaans for Science, Mathematics and IT.

WORKSHOPS

Owing to COVID19, workshops are presented online, via zoom only.

Workshops are presented on request; for groups of 8 or more teachers or learners.

Topic: Pre-June exam preparation - Term 1 and 2 work




August/September: Gr. 12

Topic: All work covered in 8 workshop sessions (as per the CAPS pace setter)

 


October: Gr. 12 

Two workshops: preparation for the final examination.

Workshop 1 - covering Level 3 & 4 questions for the 65%+ performer (higher level thinking and problem solving) 

Workshop 2 - covering Level 1 & 2 questions, aimed at helping the lower level performers and those who struggle to pass
